1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the صيام (Siyam) mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MainCreator Lab ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

صيام (Siyam) is a personal fasting-tracking application for iOS that provides:

• Logging of personal fasts — Ramadan, Sunnah days (Monday/Thursday, Ayyam al-Bid, Ashura, Arafa, Six of Shawwal, the first eight of Dhul-Hijja, voluntary), and intermittent fasting protocols (16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD)
• A Hijri (Umm al-Qura) calendar with automatic detection of Sunnah, forbidden, and discouraged fasting days
• Prayer-time calculations (Suhoor, Imsak, Fajr, Maghrib, Iftar) using your selected calculation method and madhab
• Optional local notifications for Suhoor, Imsak, Iftar, Maghrib adhan, and Sunnah-day reminders
• A bundled muezzin adhan audio that plays through the iOS notification system
• Stats and visual summaries of your fasting history

3. Important Disclaimer — Religious & Health Information

صيام (Siyam) is a general-purpose tracking and reminder tool. It is not a fatwa-issuing authority, a religious certification body, a medical device, or a professional health-care service.

• Religious matters: Sunnah-day detection and prayer-time calculations are derived from public formulas and the calculation method you select. They are informational. For matters where religious certainty is required (start/end of Ramadan, Eid, Arafa, etc.), please refer to your local mosque, scholarly authority, or official moon-sighting committee.
• Intermittent fasting: Information about IF protocols (16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD) is provided for general educational purposes only and is not medical advice. Fasting may not be appropriate for everyone — including, but not limited to, pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with diabetes, eating-disorder histories, certain medications, or other medical conditions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any fasting regimen.

You are solely responsible for any religious or health decisions you make. We disclaim any liability for outcomes related to your reliance on the App.

4. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

5. User Content and Data

Local Storage

All data you enter into the App — including fasting log, planned days, preferences, calculation method, madhab, location, and custom city — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, and cannot recover, any locally stored data.

Data Loss and Backups

Because data is stored locally, you are solely responsible for maintaining backups (for example through iCloud device backups configured in your iOS settings). We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, iOS updates, or any other circumstances.

Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter. The App's calculations and reports are only as accurate as the information you provide and the method you choose.

6. Permissions

The App may request the following optional permissions, only when the corresponding feature is used:

• Notifications: for Suhoor / Imsak, Iftar, Maghrib adhan, and Sunnah-day reminders. Notifications are scheduled entirely on your device.
• Location (When In Use): for accurate prayer-time calculations. Coordinates are processed on-device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

You may grant, decline, or later revoke any of these permissions through iOS Settings. The App will continue to function with reduced features when permissions are not granted.

7. Advertising

The App may display occasional in-app advertisements served by Google AdMob to support continued development. Whether ads are personalized depends on your App Tracking Transparency choice and Google's consent mechanism. Ads are integrated as interstitials shown sparingly between sessions; they will never be shown to you in a way that interrupts a prayer-time chime, an adhan, or the moment of Iftar. 8. Intellectual Property

All content within the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, user interface design, and software code — is the property of MainCreator Lab or its licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The bundled adhan audio and any third-party libraries (such as the open-source Adhan calculation library) are used in compliance with their respective licenses.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks
• Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or resell the App or its content
• Misrepresent the App's prayer-time or Sunnah-day output as an authoritative religious ruling

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Prayer times, Hijri dates, or Sunnah-day detection will be accurate, reliable, or complete in every situation
• Any defects in the App will be corrected

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MainCreator Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, missed reminders, religious-observance impact, health outcomes, or any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, or from any decisions you make in reliance on the App.

12. Apple App Store Terms

These Terms are between you and MainCreator Lab, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if applicable). Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these Terms against you.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may terminate at any time simply by uninstalling the App.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
