Help and answers for مصروفي (Masrofy)
Frequently Asked Questions About مصروفي (Masrofy)
How do I log my first expense?
Open the app and tap the + button on the main screen. Select a category (Food, Transport, Bills, etc.), type the amount, optionally add a note, and tap Save. Your expense appears in the list immediately and is reflected in your budget and reports.
How do monthly budgets work?
Go to the Budgets tab and tap Add Budget. Choose a category and set a monthly amount. As you log expenses, a progress bar shows how much of that budget you've used. Budgets reset automatically at the start of each month.
Is my financial data private?
Absolutely. مصروفي (Masrofy) stores everything — transactions, budgets, categories — locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. There is no cloud sync, no account, no sign-in. Your money data is never sent to any server and is never shared with third parties.
Can I create my own categories?
Yes. Go to Settings > Categories > Add Category, pick an icon and color, give it a name, and save. Your custom categories will appear alongside the defaults when you add a new transaction.
Can I export my data?
Yes. From Settings > Export, you can export all your transactions as a CSV file. Share it to Files, Mail, or any other app. This is also the best way to back up your data before changing devices or reinstalling.
What currencies are supported?
Masrofy supports Moroccan Dirham (MAD), US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), UAE Dirham (AED), Egyptian Pound (EGP), and many more. You can set a default currency in Settings, and you can also assign a specific currency to individual transactions.
How do I back up my data?
Because data is stored locally, you are responsible for your own backups. We recommend exporting your data to CSV regularly (Settings > Export) and saving the file somewhere safe — Files app, email, iCloud Drive, etc.
Does Masrofy show ads or track me?
No. The current version of Masrofy does not display third-party ads and does not track you across other apps or websites. We fully comply with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Masrofy is fully offline. You can log expenses, view reports, and manage budgets anywhere — no signal required.
The app crashes or has performance issues. What should I do?
If you're experiencing issues, try these steps:
- Force-quit and restart the Masrofy app
- Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS
- Check the App Store for any available updates
- Restart your iPhone or iPad
- As a last resort, export your data to CSV, then delete and reinstall the app. You can re-enter your data manually afterwards.

Step 1: Download and Open
Download Masrofy from the App Store. Open the app — no sign-up required, no email, nothing. You're ready immediately.

Head to Settings and pick your default currency. This is the currency that will be used for new transactions and for your totals.
